University of Texas Scholarship Details:

Dr. Matthew Greenwold and Jessica Coleman at the University of Texas at Tyler in collaboration with Dr. Rebecca Bracken at the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory are seeking two highly motivated graduate students (MS level) to start this Fall 2026 semester or Spring 2027 semester. 

Specifically, the Research Group is recruiting students to work on a comprehensive study of Chuck-will’s-widow in Texas.

This will involve monitoring breeding patterns in Texas, migration patterns using satellite transmitters, and occupancy modeling. 

Eligibility Requirements for University of Texas Masters Scholarship 2026

To be considered for the University of Texas Masters Scholarship, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least a GPA of 3.25.
• A strong preference will be given to candidates with bird banding experience or experience handling wild bird species.
